OUR AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES

At JB Diagnostics & Programming, we are dedicated to providing a full suite of automotive services designed to ensure your vehicle operates at its peak performance. Our expert team, led by Jorge Banuelos, offers specialized solutions in three key areas: advanced vehicle programming, precise key cutting, and advanced-level diagnostics.

VEHICLE PROGRAMMING

Our vehicle programming services are tailored to optimize and enhance your vehicle’s performance. Utilizing cutting-edge diagnostic tools and factory-level software, we offer:

  • ECU Reprogramming: Updating or calibrating the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to resolve performance issues, improve efficiency, or integrate new features.

  • Module Programming: Reprogramming various vehicle modules to ensure seamless integration with new parts or to address software-related issues.

CAMSHAFT & CRANKSHAFT CORRELATION TESTING

Camshaft and crankshaft correlation testing involves verifying that the camshaft and crankshaft are correctly aligned and operating in harmony. This synchronization is crucial for the accurate timing of valve openings and closings, which directly affects engine performance and efficiency.

Key Aspects of the Testing

  • Timing Verification: Ensuring that the camshaft and crankshaft timing is correctly aligned according to manufacturer specifications, which is critical for proper engine operation.

  • Synchronization Check: Verifying that the camshaft and crankshaft work together smoothly, ensuring that the valves open and close in perfect sequence with the engine’s piston movement.

  • Diagnostic Analysis: Using advanced diagnostic tools to measure and analyze the correlation between the camshaft and crankshaft, identifying any deviations or issues that may affect engine performance.

KEY CUTS & PROGRAMMING

Our key cutting services address all aspects of vehicle key management, including:

  • Key Duplication: Producing exact copies of your existing keys for convenience or as replacements for lost or damaged keys.

  • Transponder Key Programming: Synchronizing transponder keys with your vehicle’s security system to ensure reliable operation and security.

CRANK NO START

A "crank no start" situation occurs when the engine turns over or cranks but does not start. This issue indicates that the starter motor is functioning, but there is a failure in one or more systems necessary for engine ignition and operation.

  • Fuel Delivery Problems: Issues with the fuel pump, fuel filter, or fuel injectors can prevent the engine from receiving the necessary fuel.

  • Ignition System Failures: Problems with spark plugs, ignition coils, or the ignition control module can hinder the spark needed to ignite the fuel-air mixture.

  • Electrical System Issues: Faulty wiring, blown fuses, or issues with the battery or alternator can disrupt the power supply necessary for engine startup.

  • Sensors and Modules: Malfunctioning sensors (e.g., crankshaft or camshaft position sensors) or faulty engine control modules (ECM) can lead to starting issues.

LAB SCOPE TESTING

Labscope testing involves using a specialized diagnostic instrument known as a labscope to capture and analyze the electrical signals and waveforms generated by various vehicle components. This advanced technique allows us to:

  • Visualize Electrical Signals: Observe real-time waveforms and signal patterns from sensors, actuators, and other critical components.

  • Identify Electrical Issues: Detect irregularities or faults in electrical signals that may indicate underlying problems such as wiring issues, sensor malfunctions, or component failures.

  • Diagnose Complex Problems: Provide in-depth analysis and diagnosis for complex electrical and electronic issues that are not easily detectable with standard diagnostic tools.

ENGINE PERFORMANCE TESTING

Engine performance testing involves a series of diagnostic procedures to assess the power output, efficiency, and overall functionality of your vehicle's engine. This testing helps identify any performance issues that may affect drivability, fuel efficiency, or emissions.
